BAT-A-THON:
The Home Run Derby “BAT-A-THON” will be part of our fourth annual Super Saturday event promoting Grand Ledge Youth Baseball’s Bronco and Mustang Divisions. Starting this week, players are encouraged to collect pledges from family, friends and community members. Pledges are a flat rate amount. Each family will receive a pledge sheet for each player where they can track pledges. Pledges can be collected through the day of the event. All pledges should be collected at the time of solicitation. Make checks payable to Grand Ledge Youth Baseball.
Team managers should collect money from your teams and give it to the Bat-A-Thon coordinator. For every $5 collected by a player, that player will receive one swing in the Bat-A-Thon Home Run Derby. This is absolutely a great time for all the kids and fans alike. Please encourage your fans to attend this too!
The BAT-A-THON is a great opportunity to raise money for uniforms, umpire fees, new equipment and field improvements for all our spring players. In order to make this an annual event Team managers/Parents are strongly encouraged to participate. We hope to make this a Fun day for all the teams with prizes for Team and individual performances. The Grand Prize, a Lansing Lugnuts team outing, will be given to the team that collects the most pledges. A team Pizza Party at the Log Jam for the winning All-Star Team in each division!
